Reviews
For about 2 months I was prescribed care from Desert Hand and Physical Therapy in Goodyear after my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome surgery. What an amazing experience it was! I love everyone at Desert Hand and Physical Therapy! Kristen, Brittany, Philip, Chris, Jennifer, Yari, Alexis and Nieja! Kristen, Brittany, Philip and Chris were knowledgeable and very helpful with stretching and answering questions I had for my healing process after my surgery. They were caring, kind, fun and easy to talk to. Jennifer and Yari were knowledgeable, helpful, kind, caring, positive and fun. Alexis would start my visits off with a welcoming greeting and a kind smile. I didn’t work with Nieja, but I met her at my first visit and she was also fun and kind. I am so grateful to have had all of them help me heal during a challenging physical time in my life. I looked forward to my appointments, conversations, friendly faces and fun atmosphere. They were like family to me and I miss them and their wonderful and sweet personalities! I am forever grateful!
Had a bottle fall on my arm and lost feeling in part of my hand and fingers. Did therapy at a different place and nothing was getting better. Was switched to Desert Hand and Physical Therapy, this was the best thing that could have happen. DHPT has been amazing. The entire staff has been amazing and I definitely would not be so recovered if it wasn’t for them. Highly recommend Desert Hand and Physical Therapy!!
My first experience with desert hand and physical therapy was a little nerve-wracking only because I was just a couple days after my surgery. I did not know what to expect at the time. The staff was very good at answering all of my entry questions and definitely calmed my mind down. The appointments following were better and better, and I felt more confident each time I was there. Anytime I was struggling or needed help, the staff was very good at helping me when they could get to me. Anytime in felt I was reaching my limit, the therapists were very good at working through them with me. The only downside that I have is that each appointment you see a different therapist. I would highly prefer to see one therapist each time, only because each person has different points of views on my hand, so I feel like I am getting three different answers that may be different from each other. Otherwise, the staff is very friendly and helpful. And has helped me feel comfortable through this whole healing process.
I cannot recommend this place. Following arthritis thumb surgery I was treated here. I found 90 minutes of PT on one small, surgically repaired area to be far too much. I would leave in severe pain in my thumb due to overwork of the area. The last time I went, the therapist ( I saw someone different every time) “massaged” my wrist and thumb and his “stretching” resulted in a grade 2, hyperextension of the wrist! I literally screamed! The pain was so intense. I left and went to urgent care for treatment. I would highly recommend finding a different PT office for your follow up treatment.
